Terms & Conditions

 

1.       Introduction

1.1.    Throughout this document, ‘We’ and ‘Our’ refers to Scooter Tutor, its Staff and Contractors, ‘You’ and ‘Your’ refers to the client either reading this or receiving our services.

1.2.    This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for the services provided to you by our company and for the use of this website.

1.3.    Along with these terms and conditions, should you elect to use our services, you must also agree with our credit or debit agreement forms, whichever is applicable.  These forms will be supplied as required.

2.       Booking a Tutor

2.1.    Every effort will be made to organise a tutor to suit your particular circumstances, however there is no guarantee that a tutor will be able to be organised.

3.       Tuition Sessions

3.1.    All of our tutors and employees go through working with children checks and the recruitment process is set such that suspect individuals are not employed.  We accept no liability for any grievances that occur in a tuition session.

3.2.    If you wish to cancel a tuition lesson, you must notify us with at least 24 hours notice, otherwise you will be charged a 50% cancelation fee. 

3.3.    If a tutor is unable to give 24 hours notice prior to cancelling a lesson, your next lesson will be half price.

4.       Client Login

4.1.    As a client, you will be given login details to access online material and tutor contact details.  You are not permitted to pass the direct contact details of tutors onto any person.

4.2.    You are required to enter your personal information into the client database to ensure that we can offer the service we promise.

4.2.1. Your personal information will be kept in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4.3.    It is your responsibility to keep any passwords given to you by Scooter Tutor secure.  You will be held liable for any event should you fail to keep your password secure.

5.       Online Learning Material

5.1.    Not all subjects have online material.  We will endeavour to create material for all subjects in the future.

5.2.    It is up to you to check if material is available online. 

5.3.    Online material remains the property of Scooter Tutor.   As a client, you are entitled to print and use the material; you are not however, allowed to share the material with any other persons.

5.4.    We accept no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in the material.

5.5.    We do not warrant that the material will be free from infection by viruses or anything else with contaminating or destructive properties or that the online service will be free from attack.

6.       Payment

6.1.    All invoices must be settled by the due date to avoid a 20% late fee. 

6.2.    Online prepaid purchases made via PayPal Pty. Ltd. are in accordance with the terms and conditions of PayPal Pty. Ltd.

6.3.    Credit Card and Direct Debit transactions are processed on the Thursday of each week.  When you hand vouchers to a tutor or sign his/her timesheet you are agreeing to the applicable charges.

6.4.    Although unlikely, if you are charged without having received a lesson, you will be given a full refund.

6.5.    Cash is not an acceptable payment method.

7.       Changes to Terms

7.1.    We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.  The current terms and conditions will always be displayed on this website.  It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these terms.
